The Franco-Polish alchemy at the origin of this beautiful story
The story begins in 1976 when Hubert d'Ornano decides to take over a cosmetics company founded by Jean-François Laporte and Roland de Saint-Vincent and rename it Sisley. From his earliest childhood, young Hubert was immersed in the cosmetics industry. His father, Guillaume d'Ornano, worked for the Lancôme brand for a long time and gave him a taste for entrepreneurship. Initially decided to market perfumes with the Jean d'Albret brand, Hubert d'Ornano gradually turns towards anti-aging skincare.
His love story with Isabelle Potocki, a woman from Polish nobility, instills in him the desire to pursue this beautiful enterprise. As a deeply connected couple, they gradually build the Sisley empire, aided by loyal collaborators committed to the brand's success. In just a few years, they become specialists in plant-based skincare and even venture into new markets: hair products, spas... Since Hubert d'Ornano's passing, his two children Elisabeth and Philippe are at the helm of the family business. Isabelle d'Ornano is still very involved in the adventure, although she now devotes most of her time to an association for children.
