Experience and extravagance, the Cavalli DNA
Born in Florence, an artistic city par excellence, Roberto Cavalli was cradled by the beauty of shapes, textures and colors. Born into a family where painting was sacred, the young adult decided to study at the Florence Academy of Fine Arts. This experience led him to open his first textile factory, where he began experimenting. Fashion is a matter of chance: the designer finds inspiration by randomly combining different materials and colors. This approach both intrigues and fascinates. He was spotted by Hermès and Pierre Cardin, two monuments of French fashion. From then on, everything accelerated for the young Florentine.
When he finally achieved the success he had hoped for, thanks in particular to the cream of the jet-set wearing his creations, Cavalli decided to withdraw from the limelight for a while. It wasn't until the mid-90s that the designer re-emerged with new creations. Once again, he was a great success. In addition to ready-to-wear, Roberto Cavalli offers a whole range of perfumes and has even recently invested in several clubs and restaurants in Italy.
