It was at the beginning of the 20th century that Jean Patou, then 27 years old, launched his Parisian haute couture brand. Brilliant and talented, he quickly imposed his inventive style. Subsequently, fascinated by perfumery, he decided to launch his first creations. Since then, Jean Patou has been recognized as one of the world's greatest perfumers. The designer launched the concept of perfumes for men and women with the unisex fragrance "Le Sien" in 1929. Later, he also offered the eau de toilette for men "Patou" in 1980 to satisfy gentlemen. It is a woody scent ideal for seductive men who are not afraid to play the Dandy. Patou by Jean Patou is the brand's only masculine fragrance but it remains a very contrasted and original product to this day.

From haute couture to perfumery

Jean Patou transformed his haute couture collections into haute perfumery collections. It was in 1923 that the designer surrounded himself with the greatest talents to create his first perfume. He exploited the flower fields of the Grasse region to offer fragrances full of refinement. After surprising with the first eau de toilette for women and eau de toilette for men "Le Sien", Jean Patou launched the legendary women's perfume "Joy" in 1930.
