When chance works (a little too) well

In the early 60s, an unexpected encounter takes place in New York. Gérard Courtin, an artist and craftsman passionate about the world of perfume, meets James Kaplan. The latter confides in him his love for the arts in general: music, painting, fashion... The two men then decide to join forces to create a perfume brand that resembles them: Jacomo. In 1970, from its very first year of creation, the brand experiences great success. The first perfume, Eau Cendré, delights with its scent and the appearance of its container. This fragrance, reserved for men, will be closely followed by the perfume Chicane, intended for women. Since the late 90s, Jacomo has joined the Sarbec Cosmetics group, the first independent French family cosmetics group. Even today, the brand remains faithful to its original values: passion, quality, and authenticity.

Jacomo's philosophy: The Art of perfume

In the 1970s, the brand launched the perfume Silences, a fragrance based on blackcurrant and rose. For the creators, this perfume is a way to celebrate the beauty of all these ephemeral but sublime silences. This was followed by the commercialization of Jacomo le Parfum, Coeur de Parfum, the duo Les Anthracites, Paradox, and Aura in the 2000s. Jacomo is a brand that creates tirelessly: the expression of the creators can be felt in each bottle, both in terms of the scent and the design of the bottle. Moreover, Jacomo's Art Collection perfume assortment in 2010 is a tribute to the first loves of the two founders: art and perfume.

Subtle and timeless ranges

Today, there are 13 Jacomo fragrances: six fragrances for men, seven for women. Among them, six can be classified into three different categories:

● The classics: Jacomo for Her and Jacomo for Men.

● The orientals: Jacomo for Men Intense and Le Parfum

● The emblematic ones: Jacomo de Jacomo Original and Silences Sublimes

These fragrances reflect the Jacomo brand, which strives to establish a certain balance between fresh and sweet perfumes and more spicy and pronounced scents. Ultimately, these subtle blends testify to the high quality of the house, but also to its unparalleled standards. Creating perfume is an art: mastering the rules, certainly, but always adding one's personal touch.
