Diane Von Fürstenberg is a Belgian-American designer born in Brussels in 1946. After studying in Spain and Switzerland, she followed her husband, Prince Von Fürstenberg, to New York, where she launched her first range of products from clothing to cosmetics. However, influenced by New York, she soon created her own brand in 1972. Her first fashion show brought her acclaim. She invented a new genre: the wrap dress, a complete wardrobe that was feminine and functional. The best example is the sweater dress and especially the wrap dress, of which she sold hundreds of thousands. In 1976, she created her first women's perfume named after her daughter Tatiana. Once again, success followed. From 1983 to 1997, personal and family issues led her to abandon her fashion house.
She left for Europe, became a publisher, farmer, and writer. But the passion and talent as a designer that inhabit Diane Von Fürstenberg are stronger than anything. She returned to New York and came back to the forefront, making her house one of the most prestigious in fashion. In 2005, she once again created a line of women's perfumes. Like everything she undertakes, this creation is a part of herself. It reflects her elegance, her smile, her femininity, and her energy. She designs expertly balanced fragrances with chic and floral notes to accompany women in their daily lives. These perfumes are little known in France but definitely deserve to be discovered.
