An aristocratic and bourgeois clientele
Houbigant was founded in 1755 in Paris by Jean-François Houbigant. This very talented perfumer was highly sought after by the great monarchs of the 19th and 20th centuries. Marie Antoinette, Queen Victoria, the Tsar of Russia: all the crowned heads were completely under the spell of these luxurious fragrances.
The house has launched numerous perfumes for women and men while always maintaining an innovative spirit. Its most famous fragrances are "Fougères Royales" and "Quelques Fleurs". These were the first perfumes created using synthetic ingredients to enhance natural scents. This almost magical process would allow the House of Houbigant to establish its style for the very long term.
