La Prairie is probably one of the oldest cosmetic brands on the market. Born in the 1930s, it was initially a simple clinic where Professor and surgeon Paul Niehans worked on a new kind of cellular therapy. His goal? To delay the appearance of signs of aging by stimulating certain organs. To do this, the professor developed a formula based on placental extracts from black sheep. Indeed, these are recognized as having an anti-aging and antioxidant effect on certain cells. He then managed to create the perfect formulation and crafted a range of revolutionary skincare products.
